U. S. Steel Tubular Products API 5L steel pipe comes in a variety of wall thicknesses and is manufactured domestically, to order, to meet our customer’s particular application requirements. We offer both seamless and welded (ERW*) to meet the particular challenges of all transmission environments.

 
An understanding of the planned end use and desired method of pipe fabrication is a necessary prerequisite for selecting the appropriate material specification, pipe grade, special requirement (ASTM), API 5L product service level (PSL), API 5L Annex Requirement or CSA Z245.1 category or service group.

All five U. S. Steel Tubular Products pipe manufacturing facilities maintain API licenses to manufacture and monogram products to API specification 5L, and are audited periodically by API for conformance to the specified requirements. In addition, Fairfield Tubular Operations, Lorain Tubular Operations and Lone Star Tubular Operations are all audited by third party registrars that certify that these facilities conform to ISO 9001 requirements.
